French Test

Hi, this is Kekipee. Long time no see (if there's someone else reading my blog...). I took a French test today. It was very similar to Eiken test; the test consists of a reading part and a listening part. It was the first time for me to take a French test so I was a little bit nervous. I had been busy recently so I couldn't really spare time to study for that. I took the grade 4, which was kind of hard for me coz beginners usually take the grade 5. But the test was fun. And it was surprising that I got the answers of the test soon after finishing it. After getting back home, I took a nap for hours and checked my answers. I think it was okay to pass it.

I started studying French in last March coz I was planning to study in France someday. French is similar to English but much more difficult than English for me. The hardest thing is the numerous kinds of verbs. For example in English you use one type of a verb like "I like music." or sometimes add an S letter after it like "He likes music." in the present tense. But in French it's more complicated. In French present tense there are 6 types for one verb. When the subject is "je" (which means "I" in English), the translation would be "J'aime la musique." ("j'aime" is the combination of "je" and "aime," which respectively mean "I" and "like"). But the verb will be different after each type of subjects like "Tu aimes la musique." (means "You like music."), "Nous aimons la musique." (means "We like music."), "Ils aiment la musique." (means "They like music.") and so on.

It was a quite long explanation, sorry. But yes, French is very hard! But also very elegant. It was a bit surprising for me that I don't really get confused when studying French just after finishing studying English. They seem alike, but I found them completely different. So I keep studying both with no hesitation. This is an English blog but I hope I could start a French blog someday as well. By the way, the result of Eiken test will comes out tomorrow. Can't wait!
